27th Biennial Meeting "ISSBD 2024"
Our School Sozialiation research group recently had the opportunity to attend the 27th Biennial Meeting of the International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development (ISSBD) held in Lisbon, Portugal from June 16 to June 20. This event brought together leading scholars from around the world to discuss the latest advancements and trends predominantly in Developmental Psychology, as well as Education, Diversity, and Equity.
In addition to attending symposia and discussions, our group made also contributions to the conference. Jun.-Prof. Dr. Miriam Schwarzenthal presented the paper “White German young adults’ accounts of parental socialization around race, ethnicity, culture, and national identity” as part of a relevant symposium. Doctoral candidate Yağmur Güleç presented the paper “Why do some students perform worse than others? -Examining preservice teachers’ attributions, efficacy, and actions against educational inequalities” which received interesting questions.
We are excited to build on the knowledge and connections gained from this conference and look forward to sharing more updates with you soon.
