Our research group on School Socialization Research actively participated in the 5th Cultural Diversity, Migration, and Education Conference (CDME 2025), held from August 19 to 21, 2025, at the University of Potsdam, Germany.

Doctoral researcher Yağmur Güleç organized a symposium bringing together researchers working on preservice teachers in Germany, providing a platform for sharing current findings and fostering international discussion.
As part of the symposium, Yağmur Güleç presented the study "Cultural (Mis)attributions of Preservice Teachers Toward Ethnically Privileged vs. Minoritized Students – A Vignette Study", sparking intensive discussions on preservice teachers’ perceptions of educational inequalities. Jun.-Prof. Dr. Miriam Schwarzenthal presented preliminary results of the study "A Systematic Review of Critical Consciousness Socialization in K-12 Schools and Its Relations with Student Outcomes", opening exciting perspectives on fostering critical reflection in school practice.
We look forward to integrating the insights gained at the conference into our future research and continuing international exchange on teacher education and diversity.
